What is Coconut Water (Coconut Juice)?

The inner part of the coconut fruit (endosperm) is divided into two edible parts: a white kernel and a clear liquid; coconut water. Coconut water, also called coconut juice is the clear liquid found inside a coconut. Not to confused with coconut milk, which is milky colour extract of the white kernel.

Coconut water has long been a popular refreshing drink in the tropical countries and is believed to treat a variety of health-related ailments. Coconut water is often sold by street vendors who cut them open with machetes in front of customers where it is available fresh.
